PACB acquisition was far from a done deal, it was objected to by the FTC prior to the start of 2020, and officially blocked more recently, so that became a clever pick.

The odds of the FTC stepping in to block the PRVL-LLY deal would be none.

Intentionally picking stocks about to be acquired for cash seems like gaming it. If enough deals were in queue, hypothetically someone could end up with a one stock portfolio :)
