Crude prices may drop lower on Monday.

To All:

The New York Times is running a story on what we are going to do in Iraq. Here is the drift of it and from other sources (CBS Stock Watch) the reason for the drop in crude and the oil service sector last Friday. The NY Times article goes on to say that we would bomb Iraq and at the same time expand the oil for food deal to show we are not against the people of the country - we are only against the weapons of mass destruction.

President Jacques Chirac of France, while supporting the American view that force might be necessary as a last resort, has proposed quadrupling the oil-for-food program to allow $4 billion worth of oil to be sold every three months.

While repeating the American view that the time is fast running out for diplomacy, Albright said the United States supported the idea of a resolution, and said Washington had proposed the oil-for-food program in the first place.
