Re:Batteries

The batteries you describe are expensive NiCads. I wager the battery for your radio costs in the hundreds of dollars, particularly it being a Motorola. I have used Motorola radios on location shoots many times before, and know some of the costs of the equipment involved. Typical consumer level NiCads for your camcorder go for more than $60. As for the battery in your motorcycle, that's a different animal altogether. Your car or motorcycle battery is constantly recharged by a running motor's generator/alternator. Mechanical 35mm cameras use far less energy than digital devices (believe it or not).

>>Maybe I don't understand something or I miss understand you Rocky. Do you see batteries or battery size as a problem?<<

If the battery size makes the entire drive so cumbersome that it cannot be directly attatched to the device, and instead has to be worn on a belt holster with a cable running to the device, then yes, I would have a problem with that. So would the typical consumer.
