Been reading! Good stuff you guys! Everybody thinks that deregulation is good! Look at the phone industry, while there are more options, the network is more 'frail', both due to the increased load (more subscribers) and reduction of forces, as the 'rates' drop. Everybody thinks this is good, but it might come to 'bite' us because the lower rates cut back on the available cash for R&D for the next level of required service. I believe (after being involved w/switching systems from 1968-1993) that it will be a 'race' to see if the system can keep up with demand over the next 10 years. There are some promising ideas currently in development which may make it in time. Have to wait and see! Ken
