Unlikely, as its never been done, but I suppose he could step down and have Pence pardon him.

I'm pretty sure even a pardon would not cover other crimes he is being accused of.... and pretty sure he knows that once he's out of office lots of legal misery awaits him, thus his attempts to overturn the election at any cost.

The ultimate irony would be if the "lock 'em up" president ended up in prison.

Mitch is correct in his assessment of the Republican party being split. There are two parties now: Republicans and ReTrumplicans.

I'm not certain if you're aware of how deeply he's divided out nation. Never in my life have I witnessed anything quite like it. It's literally tearing family members apart. You cannot reason with a his base as they are "too smart" and the most loyal -- and in their eyes he can literally do no wrong.



One thing is certain --- this next week is going to be interesting.
