Thanks for the tip. What I worry about with some of these vehicles is insolvency or liquidity issues in extreme market conditions. I don't try to trade swings except as a hobby and now that I'm older - I'm seeking a low Beta simulation. I'm willing to eat taxes if it means income preservation.

I'm hoping for longer cycles so that I can benefit from lower tax rates. I have an investment advisor but they haven't pulled their weight. Got some useful tax advice which I could have gotten that cheaper else where I suppose.

beware its very thinly traded, and you might note a prior incarnation TVIX went out. TVIXF is NOT in fact an inverse VIX like TVIX was, so don't expect it to necessarily correlate with VIX volatility.
