AMZN is the Sears of our time. I loved the story about one of their biggest shareholders that wasn't in the family or institutional - he was an elevator operator in Chicago who got shares and rode through all the splits and was worth many 10's of millions back in the 80's when he died. He never moved and was in a modest apartment. I hope he had fun. Money is an excuse to live life unfettered. People sometimes forget that - I'm not talking about chasing all of our base desires but just living well.
