Ah, but you don't see. It is that piece of paper which allowed Intel to get the market share.

I was commenting on Patent's, not engineering talent. Some corporations choose not to patent, but to keep their technology as a "trade secret." That is where they make their engineers sign NDAs, or non-disclosure agreements.
