I guess not many people Buy a round for the house in Japanese bars:)
Speaking of cultural difference a number of years ago i did a job for a Japanese company here in the north and they had sent over three Japanese Geologists. It was an uranium property.
Imagine an outcrop maybe 100 feet across with a ten foot long trench on it.
A North American geologist might have spent an hour or two on it and taken a dozen samples. The three Japanese spent close to a week on it, mapped it down to the centimeter and took over a hundred samples. When they were finished the map of the trench they did could have been framed and hung.
It was interesting seeing the differences in the way they approached a property.
