I agree with your economies of scale point, but my point was that those people that seem to be advocating NT as a solution to all problems big and small generally don't know their ass from their elbows when it comes to the types of problems that people encounter on a daily basis in technical computing. Unfortunately, they're the Dilbert bosses signing the checks. Bill is so smart. It must be the way to go. The real problem is that the controllers don't have a clue about Information Systems. When Sun falls I think I'll go underground with the Linux commandos. If you can do it over the Internet, why do you need any other crap on your machine? Mr. B
