Jim, some more demagogy
FDIC financed by participating banks. If you keep your $$
in the bank you/bank pay for this insurance( not other taxpayers) If you keep your $ in the not insured MM funds - you do not.
Mexico borrowed paper and repaid with the same
And what do you know about the world I am living in?

It is not that I disagree with the assessment of the situation presented in your post. Just would like to see some numbers and arguments. And would like more people recognize demagogy for what it is. It will be good for the country(So many really listen for Clinton speech!)
Some positive sides in the Asian crisis can be found.

And from the personal exp:
When I left Russia 8 years ago hole country have been
on the verge off disaster, 2 years later it was REALY going to hell
Last time I called: everything is still there and still is going to hell
Build in in our genetic cod strong desire to survive and succeed
