Dipy: I also mused over that caller's seemingly valid point. If
memory serves, Bob Brinker has called attention to the apparent
triple bottom in the Japanese stock market, with special emphasis,
on more than one occasion. His first reference, to recall it, was
not accompanied by the disclaimer that technical market analysis
is a worthless forecasting tool, akin to necromancy or astrology
in predicting short range markets movements- which seems to be his
formal viewpoint. On that first occasion, however, he did take pains
to stress that the emplacement of a true and markedly bullish triple
bottom in Japan was not self-evident; confirmation of the triple
bottom would have to wait upon future market action. If there
was a formal disclaimer of technical market analysis as a worth-
less forecasting tool, I did not hear it. This begs the question,
how much attention does Brinker pay to chart formations?
