I've read articles, books, essays from prominent tech leaders/investors that define the ability to design and manufacture semiconductors as the pinnacle of human achievement. What goes into this process is astounding and hard to wrap your mind around. The companies and their sub-contractor small cap companies form a rare club that has a virtually inpenetrable barrier to entry. Demand for the product is insatiable. People who claim this sector is overpriced miss out on this cold hard fact. Its why whenever these companies get beat down (i.e. AMD at $1.77!) is when you need to load the boat.
