I'm thinking about joining QP and have downloaded the Demo. I tried to download the "Demo" file for jan 30,1998. When I run qp_view.exe, all I get is a error 47. Its being downloaded in the "incomming" directory. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

thanks
gary

Richard, I am hoping you could supply a fix for this scan, when I run Loop(0,-2)[3 days] I get 88 charts, if I change it to Loop(0,-5)[6 days] I get only 111! One would think it would be double, but the market may not have 88 new highs in those 3 days. TIA

// Find stocks that have hit a new 50 day high in the last 5 days
AllGroup // All Conditions Must Be Met
Exchange Nasdaq // NASDAQ Stocks Only
IssueType = Common // Common Stocks Only
Loop(0,-5) // go back 5 days
Close(0) > Max(-1 , -50 , cl)
Vol(0) >2000 // = 200,000
Close(0)>20
Close(0)<70

Richard,

I first went to file and clicked scan database. Then I cut and pasted your Buy Buy Buy scan and hit enter. The scan ran on my database (entire QP database) and I could see when stocks would drop out. After it was done that was it. I looked in the files with a suffix of .lst but there wasn't a list of those stocks??? What should I have done or where do I look??? TIA
