Case in point,

Trump could have avoided all that by closing Congress down for the weekend and appointing who he pleased. Legal in the Constitution for him to have done so.

you were management, what say you? <g>

Thanks for putting "meat" on that bone. Great example! As I recall, they slow walked every nomination and then criticized him for not filling roles fast enough.

Towards the end of my career, I worked hard to excel in the leadership aspects of my role. It wasn't hard because most of the others sought the safety of conformity. I can relate to PDJT.

If he had been given a fraction of the leeway most Presidents are given as a matter of course and had not had to contend with numerous false allegations such as the Russia hoax and impeachment, we would be chipping another bust on Mt Rushmore right now. I have to also think that there is a possibility (`20%) that covid was planned. I have no doubt the dims did their best to make it worse.

As a leader the two most important decisions you make are 1) who you hire them and 2) How you train / integrate them into your team. The second is moot at that level but there are some who sought to undermine his agenda. I did see some of that in the corporate world and the higher you go, the more people who want to give you advice and sometimes withhold portions of the truth.

It seems that many unelected bummer plants were certainly not loyal and leaked. DC is a cesspool and more akin to the Mob / Mafia than a business. I think PDJT expected that a lot more people wanted to truly serve. I saw some people in the corporate world (especially after the merger of 3 distinct cultures) seek to oust people from the other culture. I tried to operate with integrity but saw a lot of backstabbing. Some people do anything to get ahead and selling out their country is no big deal when everyone else is doing it.
