Hi Tom:
thank you so very much for providing so very many provocative
articles..of the last two..I don't know which is more provocative..
the "new high-tech international financial system" probably wasn't
factored into Rubin and company's plan to export our inflation by
having vast capital exported to the Far East which they thought in turn would be the big driving engine and provide US big comglomerates more consumers..ha ha..
I am waiting for a big backlash from the Far East to start boycotting
anything that (except maybe technology) originated in the west..after
what the flow of capital did to their consumers...
They really created the world's all time greatest casino..they seem
to want to add more fuel to it to have the most exciting firework's
show for greeting the 2 millenium...
oh well..I had hoped that when the US was mired in recession before,
the government would have instituted public works spending and allowed
all the natural disasters we had had to start a consumer based recovery versus a corporate led one. They should have factored in
other forces that would eventually have stimulated the economy such as a budding internet or the knowledge that something big would develop to create new industries without government creating this easy money led series of derivatives upon derivatives and currency collapses upon currency collapses and financiers' bailouts at expense of all the
little girls and guys around the world. (a friend told me in India
things are really changing as more women are now going to work)
Sounds like Japan is going to take the public works spending to try
to restart their recovery and no longer depend on exports etc..
Thanks again for all your fabulous urls..Hope you comment on some
of them..
Bobby
