Freedom of Speech is not about having one's narrative prevail.

I was always taught that along with great freedoms come great responsibilities. We cannot claim the freedom of speech without recognizing that other groups, cultures, people, viewpoints, etc. etc. also have the right to a narrative that I might not necessarily agree with.

If Freedom of Speech in this country devolves to stamping out all other narratives, then we truly are morally bankrupt. But I am optimistic enough to believe that the desire for the basic rights and responsibilities will survive and the media who try to control the narratives ultimately will not survive.

I am a child of the 60s and the assassinations, wars, riots, political marches, and federal building occupations did not destroy US The People, but made us stronger.

What a Great Country!!
