I don't know how that reporter came out with this number, I just don't believe it.

That's what made me remember the number. (A friend I told has the same reaction as you.)

I record these shows and watch them when I'm awake in the middle of the night when I'm mostly looking for white noise and my brain isn't in gear. (I usually fall back to sleep to Rachel, who has a quiet voice and low affect.) When I hear something interesting, I ask Alexa to put it on my to-do list for further inquiry the same day. Sometimes Alexa garbles my request and her history log has too much static for me to hear what I said so I can't reconstruct. Unfortunately, the recordings are gone from my DVR.

The guy who said it was an investigative reporter who has done work in this area. I recognized his name as someone well regarded and he sounded persuasive to my sleepy brain but come the dawn the name was gone and I haven't been able to find it by Internet search.

Re the 15 million, I was just glad it's not all 74.
