I attended the World Economic Conference on Sat. Armstrong suggests:
1. Gold may have put in a low.
2. There will be one more Central Bank to sell before May.
3. The IMF mat sell after that but it would be inthe period of Apr. to July.

There is support at the $273 level and we need a week closing above $317 to signal a break out.
Depending on how this plays out we could see lows of $225 to $236 by July . He sees 1999 very bullish for gold. The average citizen world wide is buying gold.

Markets:

The BIG bang is scheduled to happen in Japan Apr.1/98. This is when citizens are for the first time allowed to invest abroad. If this is not delayed ther is speculation of a large out flow of capital to the US market.Therisi an election in Japan in July/98 and nothing BIG will happen until then .
German pension funds are buying up US real estate and driving the price. Japan bank defaulted loans on the books of $750 Bil.U. S. $$.
