Maybe if impeached and removed from office but not if just impeached in house. That is just a majority vote.

The thought I believe is that if Trump is impeached, he cannot run again.

Not a lawyer like you but couldn't such a condition be considered a Bill of Attainder which congress is specifically prohibited to enact?
