gmccon: I don't agree, MTIC is NOT EMC's primary competition! What about Data General (Clariion), IBM, or even DEC storageworks, their sales dwarf MTI. MTIC certainly has good technology, (and a much better price-point than EMC), but they are hardly in the position to be considered a "leader". Furthermore, I have seen EMC's competitive literature. EMC doesn't consider MTI a competitor, so why should anybody else? For the record, I am not a stockholder, but have been on the sidelines for a while. I don't think MTIC is a smart investment at the time, and I also don't consider them a takeover target.
