Hi Kids-

The War In Sudan:

1. This is a very long war - 15 years.

2. The rebels appear weaker than GOS - they are defecting.

3. The GOS has a reasonable peace proposal - on the face of it!

4. The USA is against the Khartoum Gov't and supports its enemies.

5. The Sudan Oil Project ($1.2 billion) has a direct effect on the war/peace efforts, especially
based upon the geo/political POWER of China and Malaysia.

6. This large African country does not need another "Chevron Fiasco"!

7. A negotiated peace seems a reasonable, timely probability.
