The Euros like Merkel think censorship is a government function, NOT a corporate one. They're not friends of liberty. They have laws that restrict certain speech. I don’t agree that it’s right thing to do - but I can understand people being somewhat spooked, having “hosted” 2 bloodiest ever world wars within a relatively short period of time. At least, those are laws, passed in an undoubtedly democratic way by elected people’s representatives (for the most part; EU is an exception). The irony is that in the US we have shitheaded corporatist billionaires - in effect - writing law. That’s even worse, since they’re unaccountable. It came to the point when they can shut down businesses - and even mute a duly elected President of the USA.
