Indeed... For millions of people, the internet is the main source of info as well as means of communication. Millions make a living using the Internet. What Big Tech did is totally unacceptable.

Not only that - as I understand, Trump tried to switch to Parler - so... the few of the biggest whales quickly conspired to destroy Parler - because it could become too big and present serious competition to TWitter... which might have been too high a price to pay for shutting down the President. I wonder if there isn’t a nice fat lawsuit against the few high tech whales for getting so quickly together to put Parler out of business. The desire to keep the Prez silent doesn’t justify this - the relationship between Parler and the Prez has zero to do with any of those major private companies.

They are PINO’s - private in name only. At this point they are utilities. Even Al Gore (or whoever) back then when used to call them “information superhighways”. And that’s what they are. And superhighways don’t assert control over political beliefs of those who travel them.
