There are an awful lot of bearish consolidations off the AM lows out there.

The volatility indexes tend to drop as the markets go sideways (not always). Often it shows there is not as much hedging/bearishness as the index itself may imply during a drop or stagnant period.

At least that's how I see it.

VIX and VXN are both near the lows of the day. Strange.
