Spots... It was not my intention to "pin"

Please check my assumptions on the following calculations:

CPQ shares 3.164 bil + .150 bil (DEC) = 3.314 shares outstanding

'98 - 40 bil.rev. @ .075 Net = 3.O bil. = .90 / share
'98 - 40 bil.rev. @ .09 Net = 3.6 bil. = 1.08 / share
'99 - 50 bil.rev. @ .075 Net = 3.75 bil. = 1.13 / share
'99 - 50 bil.rev. @ .09 Net = 4.5 bil. = 1.36 / share
? -100 bil.rev. @ .075 Net = 7.5 bil. = 2.26 / share
? -100 bil.rev. @ .09 Net = 9.0 bil. = 2.71 / share

(notice I am comparing their past high net with your more conservative
estimate....I think you make a good estimate.)

Looking at mulitples 20x, 25X, and 30X is not all that encouraging.

Not calculated are:

Impact of any DEC selloff
Possible share buyback with extra cash
Add'l charges DEC acquisition. (was Tamdem extra 44mil in charges?)

Am I missing something? (Can't see the trees because the forrest is in the way).
I am still looking for my Robert Morris reports (comparing industry ratios). I will do some more analysis.

Thank you.
