Harris was born in US, her parents were not.

Don't have the document in front of me but my recollection is that your need to be at least 35 years of age and a US citizen. You can be born out side of the US and still be a US citizen (I think) if your parents, or maybe even one of your parents are US citizens...

This issue comes up all the time. Comes down to what does "Natural Born" mean.

The democrats raised a stink about McCain being born in Panama.

Wikipedia says she was born in Oakland.

There are exceptions, I think McCain was born in Panama, but on a military base. I think if you are the child of us citizens regardless of where you are born you are eligible.
