Interesting regional steel Press Release: Monday February 2, 8:24 am Eastern Time Bayou Steel sees Q2 results helped by price LaPLACE, La., Feb 2 (Reuters) - Bayou Steel Corp said that it expects a previously announced price increase for its products effective in the second quarter to favorably impact results. Bayou said that it is moving into the second quarter with near record backlog levels during a strong economy. The company reported earnings of $0.30 a share for the first quarter ended December 31, 1996, compared with a loss of $0.19 a share the previous first quarter.
