In Attempting to Claim There’s No Conservative Bias on Social Media – ‘Experts’ Inadvertently Show Trump CRUSHED Biden in Social Media Too

Of the 10 media outlets that performed best on Facebook from Jan. 1 of last year through Election Day, only three — Fox News, the Daily Caller and Breitbart — were right-leaning. But they outperformed the other seven outlets on the list, including CNN and The New York Times, by nearly 20 million interactions, the report found.

Trump Impeachment Lawyer Reveals Part of Defense Plan, and It Is Brilliant

While the primary defense Trump’s legal defense teams plans to use at his upcoming Senate impeachment trial next week will be that the Senate lacks jurisdiction, on Friday night, President Trump’s impeachment lawyer Bruce Castor revealed that part of Trump’s defense will include videos of Democrats encouraging political violence. He described the defense to Laura Ingraham on Fox News.

“There’s a lot of tape of cities burning and courthouses being attacked and federal agents being assaulted by rioters in the streets, cheered on by Democrats throughout the country, and many of them in Washington using really the most inflammatory rhetoric that’s possible to use,” Castor pointed out before noting that Democrats were not accused on inciting that violence, yet Trump is on video stating clearly that he wanted people to march peacefully to the Capitol.

“You better be careful what you wish for,” Castor said of the Democrats.

Democrats plan to use video of Trump as evidence that he incited the violence at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, and Ingraham asked Castor if there would be a dueling video showing Democrats in Congress calling for political violence. “Will you then respond with Maxine Waters, a number of other Democrat officials not speaking out about the Antifa and other extremist rallies over the last summer?” Ingraham asked.

“I think you can count on that,” Castor said. “If my eyes look a little red to the viewers, it’s because I’ve been looking at a lot of video over the last several days.”

There is certainly ample evidence of Democrats calling for political violence that the Trump defense team could use, including Rep. Ayanna Pressley calling for “unrest in the streets,” Nancy Pelosi calling for uprisings against the Trump administration, and calling Republicans “domestic enemies,” Senator Cory Booker encouraging activists to “get up in the face” of Republican candidates and office-holders, and Maxine Waters encouraging the harassment of members of the Trump administration, just to name a few.

I eagerly await the presentation of this video. Though I suspect left-wing media outlets will refuse to show it. Nevertheless, I think this is a brilliant tactic by the Trump legal team.

750 Christians murdered at church service massacre in Ethiopia

Noah David Alter

As many as 750 people have been murdered in Ethiopia after an attack at a church where some believe the Ark of the Covenant to be located, Aleteia reports.

The massacre reportedly took place in January and was revealed when a Belgian non-profit, European External Program with Africa (EEPA), released a report on the matter. According to EEPA, churchgoers were systematically taken out of the church and executed.

The attack reportedly took place at the Orthodox Maryam Tsiyon Church in Aksum as part of ongoing civil unrest in the country.

Fighting broke out in the Tigray region of Ethiopia last year after Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent federal troops to fight against the Tigray People’s Liberation Front under the accusation that they held illegitimate elections.

It is unclear who committed the massacre, but some sources allege that it was committed by Eritrean troops, who have been working alongside the Ethiopian military.

Dozens of people have been killed in multiple other massacres in the region since the conflict broke out.

Pelosi Banned Congresswoman's Military Officer Son From Attending Her Swearing-In

Henry Rodgers
February 11, 2021 1:08 PM ET

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would not allow Republican New York Rep. Claudia Tenney to have her son present in the gallery for her swearing-in Thursday, Tenney told the Daily Caller.

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer sent out a tweet Thursday morning with the news that Pelosi denied Tenney’s request to let her son, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, watch her get sworn in from above the floor in the gallery. The Daily Caller contacted Tenney about the news, to which she confirmed it was true.

“I guess he’s considered a risk,” Tenney told the Caller. Tenney said that Pelosi told her the news about her son not being allowed to watch from the gallery in a “text from staff and in person,” adding that there were “several exchanges.”

Tenney’s son received a phone call from former President Donald Trump before he deployed to Iraq in 2017.

Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment about the news. (RELATED: New York Congresswoman Sworn In After Months Of Litigation)

Tenney was sworn in as the Republican representative of New York’s 22nd district Thursday morning after months of post-election litigation. Tenney represented the district for one term before losing to Democratic New York Rep. Anthony Brindisi in the 2018 midterm elections.

TRAITOR TURTLE COMMITTED POLITICAL SUICIDE WITH HIS MORONIC COMMENTS AFTER ACQUITTAL

Poll: Mitch McConnell Favorability Under Water by 46%, Worse than Pelosi

64% UNFAVORABLE TO 18% FAVORABLE

Breitbart Politics, by Hannah Bleau

Original Article

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) favorability is under water, a Politico/Morning Consult survey reveals. The survey, taken February 12-15, among 1,987 registered voters, asked respondents to rate a number of prominent politicians, including the minority leader. A majority have an unfavorable view of McConnell, 64 percent, compared to 18 percent who expressed a favorable view. His unfavorability rating is higher than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA). Fifty-three percent gave the 80-year-old speaker an unfavorable rating compared to 37 percent who expressed favorable views. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also fares better than McConnell, seeing 31 percent favorability and 42 unfavorability. The survey’s margin of error is +/- 2 percent.

1,000 ACTS OF CENSORSHIP WOULD COST $13.5 BILLION. THEY ARE ALREADY ON THE HOOK FOR TRILLIONS.

Poland Proposes $13.5 Million Fines for Tech Giants Engaging in Ideological Censorship

By Katabella Roberts
www.theepochtimes.com /poland-announces-13-5-million-fines-for-tech-giants-engaging-in-ideological-censorship_3702950.html

New laws proposed by Poland could implement massive fines for tech giants who censor users or remove posts for ideological reasons, according to the country’s Deputy Minister of Justice Sebastian Kaleta.

Speaking to Fox News, Kaleta said social media companies have been targeting conservatives, Christianity, and traditional values by banning them or removing posts.

“We see that when Big Tech decides to remove content for political purposes, it’s mostly content which praises traditional values or praises conservatism,” Kaleta said, adding, “and it is deleted under their ‘hate speech policy’ when it has no legal right to do so.”

Under the new legislation, any platform that bans a user or removes posts for ideological reasons would face fines of $13.5 million unless the content is also illegal under Polish law. An arbitration committee will be set up to oversee disputes.

Poland’s decision comes following the banning of former President Donald Trump’s accounts by the social media companies Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, after he was blamed for inciting violence at the Jan. 6 demonstration at the U.S. Capitol.

“Freedom of speech is not something that anonymous moderators working for private companies should decide,” Kaleta said.

“Instead, that is for the national body; duly elected officials and all industries, car, phones, finance, were unregulated till they grew too large; the same should happen with Big Tech.”

“It’s very disturbing because if Big Tech sees themselves as an organization empowered enough to ban a sitting president of the U.S., it sends a message to the world—that we can ban anyone, whenever we want,” he added.

Advancing the new legislation, Kaleta noted that Poland has spent 45 years under communism—an experience he said has taught it the value of free speech and the need to know when to draw a line amid disturbing new trends toward censorship.

Last month, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the introduction of laws to protect freedom of speech on the internet, while denouncing Big Tech for stifling free speech on social media platforms.

In a lengthy Facebook post on Jan. 13, Morawiecki wrote that the internet, over time, has come to be dominated by international corporations that treat people’s online activity as a source of revenue and a tool to increase their global domination.

“They have also introduced their own standards of political correctness, and they fight those who oppose them,” Morawiecki added.

“We are now increasingly faced with practices we believed were left in the past. The censoring of free speech, once the domain of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, is now back, but in a new form, run by corporations, who silence those who think differently.”

“Discussion consists in the exchange of views, not in silencing people. We do not have to agree with what our opponents write, but we cannot forbid anyone from expressing views that do not contravene the law,” he added.

Morawiecki said the country would adopt appropriate national laws to regulate the operations of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other similar platforms.

Hungary is also following Poland in the fight against social media censorship, with Justice Minister Judit Varga last month stating that Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government will not tolerate intrusions on free speech.

In a Facebook post, Varga raised the prospect of sanctioning social media firms over what she called “systematic abuses” of free speech and indicated that she was going to submit a bill later this year to “regulate the domestic operations of large tech companies.”

She alleged that she herself had also been “shadow-banned” by Facebook, and complained that mainstream social media sites “limit the visibility of Christian, conservative, right-wing opinions” and accused “power groups behind global tech giants’ of having the power to decide elections.”

Varga said in her post the matter should be regulated at the European Union level, but said swifter action may be needed. “Due to the systematic abuses, however, we may need to step up sooner,” she said.

Opinion: US Should Emulate Poland on Fining Big Tech Censors

Roger L. Simon
www.theepochtimes.com /us-should-emulate-poland-on-fining-big-tech-censors_3703705.html

Who knew years ago that the United States would be lagging far behind countries like Poland and Hungary in free speech?

They evidently learned something from years under the iron fist of the Soviet Union.

The Poles are proposing new laws that would impose fines of $13.5 million on Big Tech social media companies that censor users or remove posts for ideological reasons.

Their Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki put it this way, ironically in a post on Facebook:

“We are now increasingly faced with practices we believed were left in the past. The censoring of free speech, once the domain of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, is now back, but in a new form, run by corporations, who silence those who think differently.”

He sounds more like Jefferson or Madison than our namby-pamby politicians who thus far—in the midst of the Goebbels-like “cancel culture”— wish to do little more than reform Section 230 that might, depending on the wording, make Big Tech somewhat more responsible for what it publishes.

In our corrupt system those same Big Tech mega-donors have essentially bought our leaders. They have become virtual toadies (pun intended) to their tech masters, doing little more than holding meaningless hearings, which often have the opposite effect from what was intended.

So we have been left with that cancel culture that not only stifles our democracy, it bores into the brains of our children, making them terrified to pursue the truth, a new generation of quiescent potential totalitarians.

We, and they, have to listen politely to, be inundated by actually, reactionary intellectual garbage like systemic racism and critical race theory without being allowed to contradict it ourselves lest we are cancelled by social media or, worse, lose our jobs.

Why shouldn’t the other side have to listen to our supposedly traditional, fuddy-duddy values from the Bill of Rights?

As Chairman Mao put it, “let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend.” (Mao was lying about that but we shouldn’t.)

The root of cancel culture is abject fear. If you weren’t afraid of your opponent’s ideas—maybe even suspect they were right—you wouldn’t be so intent on canceling them.

Some of that lies behind the behavior of Big Tech. Also at play is a kind of developmental ignorance augmented by group think.

The founders and executives of these companies are trained technically (often to the point of genius) and economically but hardly steeped in political philosophy. Almost all of them come from a generation when civics was rarely, if ever, taught in the schools—and if so in the most cursory manner.

Yes, some of this can be corrected by creating alternative structures like Parler, but only to a limited extent. Besides having to compete with companies that have a distinct, even dominant, “first mover” advantage, these same new structures, admirable as they may be and despite their pledges of “openness,” become nearly mirrors of their more totalitarian opposites, dividing our already divided society yet more.

Everyone chooses up sides and ends up “preaching to the choir.”

Is that how to govern a republic in the 21st Century? I doubt it’s the way to “keep it,” as Benjamin Franklin famously warned.

The Poles have a better approach. What is inherent in their fines is forcing social media into being public squares without a flotilla of jejune twenty-somethings censoring every opinion they believe (or are told to believe) is out of line.

I generally lean libertarian but in this case I’m for putting that ideology aside (all ideologies have limitations) and making these companies public utilities.

Time for our politicians to put on their proverbial big boy (or girl) pants, give up those donations for a change and follow the lead of modern Poland.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer quietly flipped on his position over Puerto Rican statehood this week, declaring his opposition to the idea after having endorsed it last year.

During a community Zoom meeting Thursday, Schumer said he now opposes Puerto Rican statehood. “I don’t agree with them, I’m not going to support their statehood bill,” Schumer said of legislation from Democrat Ritchie Torres that would open the door to Puerto Rico becoming a state.

Flash back to four months ago, however, and Schumer held the opposite position. “Believe me, on D.C. and Puerto Rico, particularly if Puerto Rico votes for it — D.C. already has voted for it and wants it — I’d love to make them states,” Schumer told MSNBC’s Joy Reid in October.

Schumer endorsed Puerto Rican statehood last fall as a threat to intimidate Republicans from confirming then-Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court weeks before the November election.

MINNEAPOLIS VS. THE EVIDENCE
by Ann Coulter

anncoulter.com

Apparently, no one is watching the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer on trial for the murder of George Floyd. Otherwise, the media couldn’t get away with their spectacular lying to the public about how the prosecution is killing it.

It’s quite the opposite. In fact, in less than a week, the prosecution’s theory of the crime has subtly shifted from MURDER! to “failed to provide what we would say, in retrospect, would be a full and complete duty of care during the one- to three-minute interval between Floyd’s resisting the police to his dying, as a hostile crowd screamed obscenities at the police officers.”

The defense hasn’t even begun to make its case, but the prosecution’s witnesses keep helping Chauvin. (The only exception to the wild media lying is Headline News, where the lawyer commentators go the extra mile by watching the trial.)

Week One was chock-a-block with weeping bystanders wailing about how they felt watching Chauvin restrain Floyd. This would be tremendous evidence if the charge against Officer Chauvin were “first-degree upsetting bystanders.”(LMAO!) But that’s not the charge. That’s not even a crime.

One especially distraught witness, Charles McMillian, an elderly black man, testified to seeing “ foam” coming out of Floyd’s mouth.

QUIZ: Is foam coming out of the mouth a sign of:

a) a head wound?

b) strangulation?

c) a drug overdose?

ANSWER: c) a drug overdose.

Apart from that crucial fact, McMillian’s evidence only pertained to “first-degree upsetting bystanders.” Which, again, is not a crime.

My favorite witness — and the media’s favorite, too! — was Genevieve Hansen, Feminist Hero. She appeared in court in her firefighter dress uniform and a belligerent mood — though not as belligerent as the day Floyd died, when she showed up in sweats and began shrieking at the officers.

The headlines are along the lines of “Firefighter: I Could Have Saved Floyd’s Life, But Police Wouldn’t Let Me.”

Yes, apparently, Genevieve would have invented a time machine, gone back, and stopped Floyd from ingesting three times the lethal dose of fentanyl. I take it back: Chubby girls make the best firefighters! (Don’t get snippy with me: It’s beyond outrageous that fire departments have abandoned all physical fitness requirements solely in order to hire more women.)

According to Genevieve, the police on the scene unaccountably refused to step aside and take direction from her, despite her full ONE YEAR of experience as a firefighter.

Genevieve was totally on top of the situation. In her statement to investigators shortly after the event, she described Floyd as a “small, slim man.” Floyd was at least 6-foot-4 and weighed 230 pounds. The largest police officer on the scene was Chauvin, coming in at 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds. Genevieve missed nothing!

Even in the calm setting of a courtroom, with no agitated bystanders yelling at her, here are the things Genevieve says she would have done to save Floyd’s life!

In order:

  • “I would have requested additional help.”
  • “I would have wanted someone to call 911.”
  • “I would have asked someone to run to the gas station and look for an AED [a defibrillator].”
  • Why didn’t the officers think to call for medical backup??? Oh yeah, they already had. Twice. Starting about 10 minutes before Genevieve even showed up.

“I would have checked his airway.”“I would have been worried about a spinal cord injury.”

As we know from the autopsy, there was no problem with Floyd’s airway or spinal cord. (But, as long as you bring it up, his body did contain three times the lethal dose of fentanyl.)

“I would have checked for a pulse.”Eureka! Why didn’t — oh wait, the officers had done this, repeatedly, as several bystander witnesses had already confirmed.

By now, Floyd was dead. That’s when she would have started chest compressions.

So Genevieve, the state’s star witness on what the cops did wrong, testified that she would have done pretty much everything the officers did. But she would have been a lot bossier about it.

As much as Genevieve’s one year with the fire department made her an expert on when a police officer should begin chest compressions, the Minneapolis Police Department’s own experts directly contradicted her this week. These were, again, prosecution witnesses.

On Tuesday, Lt. Johnny Mercil, the MDP’s use-of-force trainer, and Officer Nicole Mackenzie, the MPD’s medical support coordinator, testified that it would be appropriate not to provide care to a suspect who had just been fighting with officers, or in the presence of a hostile crowd.

    Chauvin had both those circumstances.

Trying to do damage control, the prosecutor asked Officer Mackenzie to define a “hostile” crowd. She said, “a growing contingent of people around, if they’re yelling, being even verbally abusive to those trying to provide scene security.”

Hey — remember those weeping bystanders last week? Their own testimony confirmed that they were “yelling and even being verbally abusive to those trying to provide scene security.”

Donald Williams, for example, the bouncer and MMA hobbyist, admitted to continuously berating the officers — all of which is on tape — calling Chauvin a “fucking bum,” “bitch” and “a fucking pussy ass bitch.” In one of the tapes, Williams threatens Officer Tou Thao, saying, “I swear I’ll slap the fuck out of both of you!”

And of course, there was the lovely Genevieve screeching, “ I have your name tag, bitch!

Now you know why prime-time cable suddenly went back to covering COVID vaccination schedules this week.

HERE IS SOME INCREDIBLY AWESOME NEWS IF TRUE!

This is why some in the media’s hyper-focus on Manchin is so bizarre.

We’ve always known there were several — this aide says there are AT LEAST 10 — who are in the same position. They just hide and let Manchin “take the arrows.”

Good inclusion from the WaPo team in this.
