Ideological struggles w/I a nation not as helpful. I am not familiar with the USA state / federal systems, re how much might a state do to negate the less helpful aspects of federal policies. One of the interesting aspects of Trumpism, in a forensic sort of way, is that it is mostly devoid of ideology. There was no pretense of a Republican political platform for the 2020 election, the only objective was to re-elect Trump. I suspect that the ability of Trumpism to be sustained without Donald Trump shall be somewhat limited. We'll see.
