Listen to what Barr has to say about these people. If I heard him correctly he suggests they are mentally unstable.

TJ, of course it is more and much more, in general you cannot incite people that are satisfied with their life.

IMHO the basic that those people were so easily incited was and still it is a combination of dramatic economic inequality, a high disparity in the ability of gaining an adequate paying job, a long broken education system, by the twisted and misinterpreted human liberties and rights and as a result total lack of self-discipline induce trough education and knowledge.

In my childhood, as related to earning power, most compensation where quite similar from what I remember and a high ranking officials aside from some perks earned not a lot more than a regular worker, may be twice or thereabout.

There were no Jeff Bezos, or Bill Gates or Warren Buffet or the like – merits and achievement was rewarded by modest compensation increases, but substantial respect within the community, today those measures and social order evaporated in most countries.

There are people that are born gifted in certain facets of life and are very succesfull, not only because of their efforts but also because they where born so and the right education amplified their talents.

Capitalism reached its ends and proved to be worse than socialism IMHO. Communism did not work in the Kibutzim in Israel.

High taxations rate are counterproductive, but limits on compensation as a multiple of minimum wages are more effective.

The Legal Courts where not filled with claims and counterclaims of no material value, and stealing, cheating and pillaging was not the norm but harshly punished. Honestesty was a well respected assets and not downgraded as a lack of business/commercial acumen.
Communism in its true form is not fit yet for an immature humanity.

All those that will harshly criticize me for that, better think twice and use your intellectual capabilities and give a good reason why excessive consumerism is a good thing, why riding a Bentley or Rolls Royce makes you more productive or effective in your job or why a 4 or 6 carat diamond perfectly polished on your wife finger adds to the benefits of society, and not have a better use just o be displayed in a museum for example to be seen from all angles.

On top of all this, add the complete ignorance of family values and acceptance of single parent family with an elusive father who does not fulfill his obligations, as the norm in many communities.

The lack of adherence of the less educated, to a religion, which indirectly teaches also some sort of discipline and ability to hold back anger and deal with disappointments.

I could go on and on – even that I as a child was very rebellious but with very clear boundaries, and an abundance of infusion of general cultural values, and acceptance of others who were not of my faith, if Germans Hungarian Gypsies or Romanians.

Inclusiveness is a major factor missing in the US society - remember what "honor" it was to be invited to the "Harvard Club" in NYC by a client - what the #$&^ what is Harvard University aside from an good academic institution rich enough to hire best academics? - those are the seeds of capitalism inequality.

Heinrich Heine or Albert Einstein and many more did not need to learn at prestigious universities they were accepted at the start of their work in average jobs but where born with their inclination and talents that where later cultivated and neither left this world by being a exceptionally rich person, even that they contributed to humanity more that today's oligarchs, tycoons or multi-milliarders mentioned above
