Tony Fauci doesn’t believe in masks. How do I know? Because he wears those rags with names of sports teams. Studies of mask use are also useless - because they don’t pay attention to the quality of the mask - and, no less importantly - to their fit. If you use useless masks that do not fit - you’ll find that masks make no difference, every single time. So, in a sense, anti-maskers are absolutely right — the way masks are being promoted and used, they’re for the most part not much more than a ritual. Someone mentioned on this board a while back that the only masks that really work are the N95. That’s the truth. And not only because they filter out more particles - but also because of that piece aluminum on the outside, that helps fit the mask snugly around the nose. OT - just got the Moderna shot. By mid-February will get the second one. Our county took a while to get organized, but now - as the guy giving me the shot put it - it’s a well oiled machine. 15 minutes from the moment we parked until we got the shot.
