Scott, thanks for the help. As a rule, trade rags seldom get the story completly right. I don't think this instance is any exception. The GX has Sonnet interfaces (up to OC48) according to ASND's web site. Here's how thw WDM fits: ascend.com Any box w/OC48 should be able to do the same thing. At present, I am not aware of any ATM PMD sublayer for WDM/DWDM. Somewhere down the road (1-5 years), my bet is that we see one though. It is a natural. Cheers, Daniel
