I saw him live as well - very small venue - I think it was Mississippi Nights on the Riverfront in STL in the 90. It shut down as well to make way for a riverfront casiono

Edit: I was there the night the Repubs swept the house and senate in Nov 94. Was with some friends - one very liberal. It was fun watching him wither. The band was the Beat Farmers:

John McVie was on bass and Mick Fleetwood played drums on that song.

Lucky to have seen and hung out with him at a small solo performance back in the day.
