I think vandalism is violence by definition.

The small brushes I've had with vandalism sure felt like violence to me, while I was doing it.

Possibly you've vandalized something along the way, a small thing, anything, and also recognize the source.

Maybe not.

Somebody bashed one of the Capital Police in the head with a fire extinguisher, resulting in his death. That seems violent. But basically you are right, most did nothing violent.
