To fit video onto a 100MB medium for any appreciable length of time, you'd have to use a lossy compression scheme so drastic, that while watching a family reunion video, you wouldn't be able to tell Aunt Mable apart from her Great Dane. That guy on the Yahoo message board was 1) either mistaken about a Hi-8 camera not having a Hi-8 tape or 2)making the whole thing up.
