Begging pardons for jumping in as a complete newbie, but I don't agree (as to using the new thread, that is). Eventually R2.0 will replace R1/1.1, and at that time it will be inconvenient to look back at all of the good stuff here from a new thread, and much conversation on the new one will require a future newbie to go back to this thread. I personally am a virtual (electronic?) TA infant, having just ordered QP1.1 last Friday (1/30/98) and downloaded the 1.1 demo and put it up this morning. But I can tell already I'm hooked (and I want to set up my own indicators ... another story). Past posts are essential. Might I suggest that a clear statement at the top of the message as to 2.0 for those topics would suffice till that release becomes the prevailing topic. I think we'd regret otherwise in the future. (IMO, anyhow.) BTW, if there IS an exit to the new thread, I copped post #1 <g>. Regards, Spots

our persistence in using this thread for beta discussions no longer seems proper. andy It was never proper in the first place. Gary never specified how to contact him for support and whether or not to use this forum. I setup the QP2 mailing list for this purpose but evidently it is not adeqaute since people continually post beta stuff here..... Sean

Andy I appreciate your comments. I think the second thread will be more useful for Q2+ disscussion for future reference when the program becomes available. This will help those of us understand what can and cannot be done and how problems were tackeled in the beta stage. This is usually lost in a private mail list. I hope you all use the other thread or just start another one. Then when everyone moves to Q2 it also will help those going directly into Q2+ not to have to search Q1 scans here, which will be obsolete then. Kiri
