Allan,
I hope everyone who reads this will understand why sector rotation is so important. A stock is not independant of its sector.

For another example of sector rotaion and how a stock reacts; look at Intel and the semiconductor sector. You couldn't find a more finely tuned dancing couple. :-)

The other things you could have done, if not wanting to sell you positions, is short or buy puts on the PHLX sector indexes. This works very well.
