Am guessing that Melvin getting a life line because either and or

- Citadel / Point72 also short, and should Melvin implode, bad stuff happen to Citadel / Point72, and / or

- Melvin positions are sound positions but too large for its own book, and the bigger fellows doing the dirty to Melvin at its moment of distressed needs
