2tb is my default OS drive size and $200 US is an acceptable price point for that size SSD.

The speed change is significant . I remember when i had an HDD Lenovo THinkpad with an i5 Processor running at 2GHz then i upgraded to a macbook air with an i5 processor at 2GHz with an SSD. My oh my the difference was huge! Clicks felt instantaneous. and, both laptops had 8gig rams.
