But Kasich isn't a Democrat. The Ohio Democratic Party needs to get some new blood, some younger energy combined with political intelligence. It has been moribund for 20 years, only rarely winning state-wide races and even when they did win, they usually won because the Republican alternative was awful. Sherrod Brown is an exception. But there aren't many others. In fact, I can't think of any others offhand. I lived there for 10 years, politically it was really depressing. Brown needs to train some people on how to talk to Ohioans.

>>John Kasich to run for the Senate in Ohio as a Democrat<<

I think he'd win more easily as an independent. (D) might be a bridge too far.

Personally I don't want Kasich, I would prefer we take a chance with a good Democrat.

Besides I never liked Kasich, he reminds me of Collins, or Murkowski.

The Republican party is really crippled with all the infighting which I expect to get worse as the coup attempt unfolds.

Trump may endorse Jim Jordan with many thinking Ohio is a safe state, but Ohio is not Oklahoma and I think we can beat him, or whomever they put up.

How about this woman? She is a pro.

I start out assuming Portman's resignation will mean the next Rep senate candidate will be much further to the right. Giving the seat to the Dems.
