It's frustrating, I know. And adding to the frustration is how intricate, nuanced, and detailed the reasons are the parameters aren't yet or don't seemingly get explored when the appear to be directly in front of the Court. Often, like the injunction posture of the emoluments cases, the reason is valid, legal doctrine that easily is misunderstood as "avoidance" or "ducking" or some sort of misdead or wrongdoing. Think of the noises the QAnon (my new label for all Republicans except my friends who are Rs) have made about "standing" and that it is BS, blah, blah, blah. I think we are probably fortunate in some ways that the cases haven't reached the merits on so many of these cases. The fact that it took a shit bag like Trump to get us close to answers says a good deal of good about our country, I think.
