The argument was made that SCOTUS would get involved if it learned Trump pardoned himself WEEKS after he left office. It was nonsensical and ignorant to suggest we don't know who he pardoned. It's public knowledge.

You are correct, and there wouldn't be any reason or basis for the Supreme Court to involve itself in any issue concerning pardons unless it has jurisdiction over an appeal to it from a lower court.
