hpeace... good advice ... "i would just put it in the vault and forget about it."

I don't believe short term investors might have the patience.

In the 1950's for example: Individuals researched the fundamentals
of corporations and made long term strategic financial decisions.
The stock was put in vault and probably passed to the next generation.
Yields were more important than today.

Internet trading changes that.
Advertisement and lifestyles in the 1990's promote living a leveraged
life. OK in a bull market.

I remember reading about a mutual fund that specialized in the business of dying, holding stock in casket makers, funeral homes and the like. Will try to dig around tomorrow and come up with who has it. But maybe someone out there knows....?
