NEW YORK, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Rev. Jesse Jackson's
Rainbow/Push Coalition and union leaders will announce their
opposition on Tuesday, February 3 in New York to the merger
between MCI Communications Corp and WorldCom Inc
, Rainbow/Push Coalition said on Sunday.
Jackson, the founder of the Chicago-based group, will hold a
press conference with Communications Workers of America leader
Larry Mancino to urge the U.S. Department of Justice and the
Federal Communications Commission to block the proposed merger,
a Rainbow/Push statement said.
The organizations will urge the FCC to hold public hearings
and extend the period for comments on the merger beyond the
current February 5, 1998 deadline, the group said.

Would anyone have a guess as to why?

Does anyone have a thought as to why South Korea and Japan are having such a divergence tonight?
