It's not just GameStop. It's the entire market. These new investors are hell bent on destroying all the hedge funds and they're picking one stock at a time to do it. The market is scared shitless because the rich controlled the market. Now, amateurs are taking it apart and getting rich doing it. Put simply, they find companies hedge funds short, force the price up, force them to cover shorts and buy the stock, forcing the price higher. Rinse and repeat. It's rather ingenious.
