Being perceived by a jury as misleading them is death, in my book. Some lawyers think they can do it, but in my experience jurors aren't fools. They get it, and see things most lawyers think they will never see or notice. They don't always follow the law as they are instructed to do, but they usually get it right when they come to a verdict.

Very funny story about your wife's report. I'm sure her role helped resolve the case, and sometimes that's what a lawyer hopes for if a client is not listening to them about the risk or downsides of a case.
