These investment gurus, managers of billions, are idiots. Don’t the know that shorting can lead to enormous losses? Don’t they know better than to short a stock in which the number of shares shorted exceeds the number of shares in the float? They’re dumb, and they got what they deserved. They were hugely negligent, and gave the Redditers a market opportunity that was easy to exploit. The Redditers were not running amok, they acted rationally.
