CyberFax uses the Internet as a medium of exchange where every transmission of data is chopped into pieces and than send. These packages can take different routes of the network which both speeds up the transmission as well as making it more reliable(if one route is blocked the package can be retransmitted over another route.) What real time fax gives you is a instant confirmation that the fax transmission succesfully went through. Very good especially if you are faxing a contract between two companies.
