"Diminishing" "the attack" is just accurately describing reality when you responding to claims that it was an insurrection and "an attack on America". The Libertarian position is simple, those attacking the Capitol were not protesters or patriots. Sure they were. Or at least some of them were. They were also (at least some of them) rioters and criminals. You can be all of those things at once. And the accurate label for them has nothing to do with "the libertarian position". Its a matter of facts and definition, and opinions about those, not a matter of political philosophy.
